330 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Duplessi stemmed tulip an oak-burgundy coloured ale with a generous one finger tan creamy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is heavy roasted malts, notes of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour is roasted malts, ashes, molasses, some herbal notes and hints of spice with a touch of licorice. The mouthfeel is fizzy, flat and watery. This light to medium bodied ale has a dry roasted malt and ashy finish. Not a well balanced ale. The palate is far away from the promising nose.
