Half liter bottle pours clear copper with thin tan head. The aroma offers up green herbal like earthy shrubbery hops followed by orange hard candy, some cherry candy and dried tangelo. Hmm. The taste has a double edged sword of bitter citrus as well as firm orange, tangelo and cherry like dried fruitiness. The citrus, herbal, green and spicy hop bitterness builds into the finish. Wow! Sweet hard candy and some decent yet inadequate (to match the sweet hop flavor notes) layers of hop bitterness. Cool brew.

Sampled on 8/6/2011, This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 50cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity, sweet and tropical. A medium bodied Double IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel, and tropical. The hops are somewhat muted, somewhat herbal and citrusy. Mild carbonation. This is a weird beer, there is something else going on here and I can’t quite figure it out. I am not sure I like it, whatever it is. May not be a good traveler. From other reviews it sounds like it a way better beer closer to home. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Draught. Reddish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is hops, mild caramel and some slight burnt sugar. Flavour is hops, wood, earth and some burnt sugary notes. Mild notes of licorice too. Hoppy and nice finish.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms North, Stockholm. Ours out in a hazy reddish amber colour with a small sticky white foam. Big and vibrant hop aroma of lychee, black currant, grapefruit, resin, grass and flowers. Starts fruity and rather sweet of black currant, plums, caramel and pine-needles but finishes really bitter of grapefruit, currant-leaves, lychee and blood oranges. Nearly full-bodied. Delicious!!!
