The King distinctively points out which is the glass in the house. This Strong Bitter, with the classic Caramel Malt Flavours of England has both fullness and strength. Gustaf has a refreshing hop bite, where First Gold contributes to taste and Pioneer stands for the inviting aroma. 35 IBU.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget. Pours brown/amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, dark fruits, caramel and hints of alchol and metal. Medium sweet and malty with some bitterness. Where is the hops? Pretty well hidden I guess. The only evidence is some bitterness and a hint of citrus in the finish. Drinkable, but not my cup of tea.

Bottled. Hazy ruby colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is sour fruits, some hints of red berries and caramel. Flavour is wooden, quite flowery hoppy and also has some caramel and green apples in it. Quite bittery finish.

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm. Clear reddish amber, big tan coloured head. Light aroma of roasted malt and grapefruit. Some toffee, red apples, caramel and oranges in the flavour. Light to medium bodied. Caramel and grass in the short aftertaste.

Bottled from draught, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Brown colour, strong aroma of caramel and Chinook hops. Decent malty flavour with some caramel, well balanced with the hops. A nice strong bitter!
