Selection #3 out of a 4 x 32-ounce growler tasting. Liked this and the porter the best. A good smokey malty flavor, but not overwhelmingly sweet and heavy. I like this style, but usually hit or miss....this was definitely a hit. I only had about 4 ounces, but will be on my list for a full sample next time.

Picked up two growlers of this one. Deep brown colored beer with hints of red. A big foamy textured, light beige head rises robustly above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles eventually into a light sticky film and moderate ringlet. The profule is muted chocolate and more forward tart cherries. Full bodied. Real nice.
