With Town & Country, we set out to brew a refreshing, easy-drinking blonde ale with a little something extra. Like its namesake, this beer is about contrast, combining soft malty sweetness and biscuit notes with midly spicy and citrusy hop crispness. Town & Country Blonde Ale is brewed using Ontario malted barley and we incorporate organic Red Fife wheat grown and malted in small batches a stone's throw from Ottawa. Not so long ago, the pint in your hand said a lot about where you were. In the late 19th century, the Dominion of Canada was home to more than a thousand breweries, most of which were small and dedicated to serving their local communities. Brewers relied on ingredients they could source from nearby farmers, forging a strong urban/rural connection. The resulting styles and flavours emphasized a sense of place. Town & Country Blonde Ale is our nod to this great brewing tradition. Cheers!

Picked up a couple tall cans at the brewery. Pours a big foamy white head and a clean pale golden appearance. Big soapy lace remains. Moderate carbonation. Aromas are mostly floral and herbal, with some wheaty notes as well as subtle yeasty hints. Flavours are mostly cereal malt, herbal and mild citrus notes. Medium body. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Not bad.

Enjoyed at Crust & Crate Lansdowne. Pours a clean golden colour with a white head and good lacing. Aromas of mild malt with some grassiness. Cereal grain flavours with some decent hops. A nice hoppier blonde ale with stronger dryness and grasses.
