This Imperial Stout is thick and luscious. Brewed with hazelnut, vanilla and cocoa nibs from Almonte, Ontario's Hummingbird Chocolate. It's everything you'd expect from a beer like this - nutty, creamy and bursting with vanilla, coffee, caramel and deep, dark chocolate vibes.

355ml can from the brewery that pours a real dark brown colour, kind of black with no visible highlights. Beautiful big creamy, bubbly head that is light mocha-coloured, creating a cascade effect, with great retention and full foamy lacing patches. Bitter chocolate nose with some coffee, cereals, alcohol and roasted malt base. Flavours are quite rich and strong. Chocolate from sweet to bitter, coffee and the hops that add to this bitterness with some grassiness. A very dry finish that lingers. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Probably hard to have another one of these right after, but great as a starter.
