Poured a cloudy, dark amber color with almost no head at all. What little foam there was just fizzled away immediately. Aroma of belgian yeast and sweet fruit. Extremely sweet and a little syrupy. Apple and pear flavor with some dark fruit in the back. Only a hair of dryness in the finish. Medium-full body. Alcohol become warming after a while. I think the lack of carbonation adds to the syrupy mouthfeel. I won't be buying this beer again.

I think this is beer is very underrated. Pours a cloudy amber without much head and what’s there doesn’t last long. This is as bad as this beer gets. Scent is light fruits like banana and apricot, but there’s also a hint of bubblegum. Flavor is sweet and it could use a bit more balance. Fruits are strong and there’s a hint of hops. Alcohol makes its presence known in a big way. Palate is crisp yet sweet. Overall this is quite good; one of the best US Tripels I’ve had and definately worth seeking out.

Medium orange gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty, estery and spicy. A medium bodied tripel. Malts are fruity and sweet. Estery, bananas and peaches. Bright yeasts, Spicy coriander and cloves. Touches of orange peel. Slight alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with a noticeable alcohol bite.

I poured this into my Chimay chalice and its a good enough looking ale, slightly hazy, orange/brown beer with a small splotchy bubbly head. Nice carbonation ( the chalice does that). The aroma is sort of strange though..its a creamy hazelnut smell..though there is a small amount of expected spiciness in the back. The taste however is up to style and quite warming with its nice blend of smooth malts and spices..alcohol is well hidden for its strength. Good smooth mouthfeel. Nice drinkable tripel, not up to Belgian standards but very good for the price
