This rich, complex stout features a deep, layered malt profile enhanced by slightly sweet flavours of white oak, molasses, and star anise. All of these flavours combine to create an elaborate Imperial Stout suitable for enjoying today and made for cellaring to be enjoyed down the road.

Bomber from BCLDB Cloverdale. Dark pour: no light gettin' through this one. Brown head of no great depth at least left a ring. Very good aroma, a complex blend of dark chocolate and coffee. Solid mouthfeel, and pretty damned smooth as well. Flavour had the coffee and chocolate, plus toasted malts. Star anise? Not a clue about that. Not particularly bitter. Liked this one a lot, probably should get one or two more for cellaring. Might just be Dead Frog's best beer yet.
