(Bottle 2692) Inky black body, with a creamy tan cap. This smells like awesomeness!!! Huge smoothness with coffee, vanilla oak, the cognac flavor is huge and it works awesomely. Earthy liquorish a touch of ash finishes massively sweet. A touch of tummy burn after half the bottle. Cognac aged beers normally don't work for me but this is good. Hitting a flavorless burnt something now....... what the hell does that mean? Towards the end of bottle I'm detecting very smokey peat. Fantastic brew probably would have been better if it wasn't 24° C and I just finished mowing the lawn, it tis more of a cold weather winter brew.

Shared bottle. Pitch black colour, moderate brown head. Nice roasty aroma, notes of coffee, liquorice, oak and old brandy. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma. Very good beer.
