Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
330 ml capped bottle. Poured in an Abbey chalice an unfiltered opaque rich burgundy coloured Dubbel with a one finger tan foamy head that thad a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is caramel malts, dark fruits, raisins, plums, figs. The flavour is quite the same with in addition toasted malts and spicy notes, pepper, licorice. The mouthfeel is fresh and a bit oily. This medium bodied Dubbel has a dry malty and bitter finish and a light ( yes !, with a 6.0 % ABV ) a light warming effect. A decent Dubbel from Flandern.
