Brugs, the white beer born in Bruges. Born in Belgium in Western Flanders, the Brugs beer is a white beer, resulting from a traditional receipt of the Brabant. It draws its name from Flemish " Brugs Tarwebier " who means " White of Bruges ". It is indeed in this town of Bruges, as called Venice of North, as Brugs draws its origins. Thus since 1587, Brugs raises the blazon of the Gold Tree, evoking the trophy traditionally offered to the knights of the tournaments which animated Bruges in the Middle Ages. Its principal characteristic is its yellow color clearly and its opalescence, like its slightly acidulous taste. Its manufacture is particular: brewed starting from pure wheat and of hop, it is raised with barks of bitter oranges, and coriandre. Not filtered, as all the beers on dregs, it is naturally turbid. Not very bitter, it is often tasted accompanied by a lemon disc.

I had this beer while in France, it has a very sweet and (citrus) smell. It poured light yellow with a resonably small white head. The mouthfeel was very smooth making it a easy beer to drink. Often served with a lemon, I recomend this beer if you have the chance to drink it, a very good white beer.
