750 ml caged and corked bottle. Poured a clear and dark amber-chesnut coloured BdG with a two fingers, beige, dense and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma ist toasted malts, caramel and herbal notes. The flavour is sweety and toasted malts, caramel, dried fruits, walnuts. The mouthfeel is round, creamy, sweety and a bit sticky. The texture is watery. This medium bodied BdG has a dry malty finish. A decent brew from Picardie but not very exiting. This brew offers, for me, a too sweety side to be ranked as a Bière de Garde, even if the brewmaster characterizes his brew as a Bière de Garde.
