A rich, malty, full-bodied very complex beer. This beer is deep ruby color. The palate has a malty sweetness with notes of caramel and other complex flavors. A dried fruit characteristic is readily apparent with hints of raisin and plum. The high alcohol content gives a warming sensation and balances the malty sweetness. Large amounts of candy sugar add to complexity.

Pours out like a cloudy glass of ice tea. The aroma is of heavy sweetness like a Barleywine. The mouthfeel is good and thick. The taste is rich and full of malt, dates and raisins.

A beautifully deep mahogany-amber colored beer with a big sudsy textured light tan head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a moderate ringlet and light persistent cap. Interesting profile, equally pronounced in the nose as in the taste of sweet caramel malt and dark-raisin fruit. There's a yeasty sourness in the tasting. Not much hops that I can tell. Thick, slick body.

I had this beer at a bar in St. Louis, MO. This beer was the best beer of the night. A nice redish brown color with hints of raisin. A nice malty backbone. A good beer.

Pours a bronze color. Smell is dominated by dark fruits. Taste is dark fruits, some spice, malts, yummy. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good quality beer.
