One of several 2010 winter seasonals by CBC. A balanced, easy drinking Belgian pale ale. Brewed with all Belgian malt including pale, toasted, and caramel. Syrian golding hops for spice and Belgian Trappist yeast for subtle fruit notes.

Sampled on tap at CBC, chosen for me by the bartender because the selection of available seasonal and year-round offerings was oerwhelming. Pours murky-opaque orange with small, scattered head. Aroma is clean and understated with herbal hop notes. The flavor is grassy with a peppery bite. Carbonation was a little stronger than I prefer; the medium body and mouthfeel were otherwise pleasant. I'm surprised that this was the beer the staff chose to showcase for me first, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
