Not much head but the body is an interesting dark red (with an almost purplish tint) wine-like color. The vinuous character continues into the aroma mixed with worcestershire sauce. I was worried about an infection, but it wasn''t sour (I didn''t realize this was a belgian style). Instead, it was soft, a bit sweet and a little winey. A really odd beer.

Poured a mahogany color with no head or lacing. Aroma of anise, yeast, sweet caramel, dried fruits, vanilla, and wood. Taste of chocolate, sweet caramel malt, some yeast and a touch of alcohol. The aroma on this was really nice, and I wish I could score this higher.

Brewtrack #0013 This beer has really grown on me. When I first tried it, I was unfamiliar with beers that had sour flavors. After trying several different lambics, berliners, and other such beers, I've revisited this one. Now that the initial 'holy crap this beer is sour' shock is over, I enjoy it quite a bit. The first time I tried this beer I opened the bottle, then got a glass, turned my attention back to the bottle to find it had overflowed. This time I was very careful to be ready to pour as soon as it opened. Pours a murky brown, but the pour is hard to accomplish due to overcarbonation. Just a drop of fluid into the glass results in a foam explosion. Results in a nice long lasting head. Aroma is very fruity, light and dark, apples and plums. Funky sour notes are all over the nose. Flavor is a biting sour and fruitiness with a very dry finish. I love the fruity flavors and sour notes. Mouthfeel is creamy, but ends very dry. A very nice beer, but not for the rookie. The only downfall is the over carbonation, which, from what I understand, was only typical of this brewtrak number.
