Known for their amazing creations, we are thrilled to collaborate with Equilibrium from New York state - bringing you this Double Barrel-Aged monster! Together, we brewed a huge Imperial Stout, which we then aged in freshly emptied Bourbon Barrels to impart sweet oakiness and vanilla flavours. Then transferring the beer into Tawny Port casks to finish, which add fruity and nutty characteristics. We conditioned the stout on dark, sweet cherries, vanilla and cacao nibs to give the beer a black forest cake feel.

Last one, from part of their 2021 Origin of Darkness 4-pack. Dark brown colour with little copper-ruby highlights. The head is deeper beige, fizzing away quick enough. Lacing is a bare minimal. The cherries add a mild sweetness to the aroma with the roasted and chocolate malts. Hints of alcohol and herbal hops. The taste is fairly rich, but not overly sweet. The hops do cut the sweetness of the malts. Some decent bitterness, dryness linger. Everything is well-balanced and on the mild side. A rich, dessert Imperial Stout that is easy to drink.
