Tybee Island Blonde is a Kölsch style ale. It is a clean, crisp, session beer brewed with noble hops. The Blonde has a light floral aroma and a mild hop bitterness. The agreeable nature of this German style ale means that it will get along well with many foods, but you have to pick a dish that won’t overwhelm it. Being that we are on the coast, we suggest you start by pairing it with some seafood!

Pours clear golden with a frothy eggshell head. Malty, dusty aroma is barely detectable. Flavor, fortunately, is much stronger, malty and a little fruity - not spectacular, but certainly acceptable. Hey, not every beer has to be a three-course stout. Mouthfeel has average thickness and little fizz. Good for a party, or for a meal, or for just taking the edge off the summer’s heat.

I enjoyed this one. Buddy from GA brought some down to try. Blondes are hit or miss for me. Usually need some hops to balance out. This was sort of like a hoppy American wheat. I could see drinking this beer in the summer.
