10% on label. Dark brown/black body, head is brown with a red tinge. The head thins but sticks around, leaves splotches of lacing. It's hard to put this beer down. It's like a desert although not overly sweet. All the good impy stout flavours and aromas like dark chocolate, cocoa, strong coffee, vanilla, dark fruits, mild smoke and licorice. Strong malt backbone of caramel and breaded malt. Alcohol becomes more evident towards the end. Full chalky smooth and sticky mouthfeel. This would be a great beer to share as a desert.

Strong, smoky aroma has notes of licorice, quality coffee and molasses plus a hint of semi-sweet chocolate. Pours a deep, warm sable with a thick and fine-bubbled tan head that leaves some generous lacing. Lip-smacking smoky flavor has firm chocolate, coffee, molasses and toffee notes with hints of licorice and caramel. It is somewhat sweet, but not overly so. Smooth texture has above-average body and a decent amount of fizz that leaves a fairly persistent tingle in the mouth and on the lips. I’m a big stout lover, and this is now on my list of faves.

An impressive tar black colored body on pour with a big frothy textured brown head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. It settles eventually leaving splotches of film and moderate ringlet. Roasted nose with hints of vanilla. More of the same, more intense in the tasting. Full bodied, slick on the tongue.

On tap at The Wursthaus in Lake Jackson. Clown Shoes seems to have really stepped it up lately. Poured a black body with tan head that left patchy lace. Aroma has roasted malts, hints of coffee, vanilla, some chocolate, and figs. Beer is smooth, woody, chewy, full of roasted malts that give off a coffee dryness. Overall the best stout they have made yet, pretty darn good.
