Once again, The Clockower Brew Pub is leading the way with the introduction of Ottawa’s first true Cider & Beer hybrid. The Graf is a collaborative brewing partnership between the CT & our friends at Flying Canoe Hard Cider. In the case of our seasonal Graf, raw Ontario apple juice; courtesy of Flying Canoe, was blended with rich caramel malts to produce this truly unique Autumn drink. The Graf pours auburn, reminiscent of the colour of caramel apples. The aroma is that of fresh apple cider with subtle hints of caramel.

Had on tap at the brewpub in the Glebe, September 2019. Hazy amber colour with a small beige head and minimal lacing. Beautiful aromas of butterscotch, caramel malts and apple juices in the background. The mouthfeel is lightly dry, thin enough and must get use to some sourness at first. The taste is where the apples shine, from start to finish and feeling natural. Was not sure about this one, but ended up being much nicer than expected. A nice hybrid between beer and cider.
