We used Equator’s Ethiopian Light beans. The goal was not to capture the roast flavour, but rather the cardamom, citrus & chocolate of the beans themselves. We worked closely with Equator’s chief roaster to ensure the beans were steeped at the perfect temperature. The result? A golden brown ale with light fruity notes, with a mild coffee backing. Aromas of chocolate with notes of citrus and spice.

Enjoyed earlier this year at the brewpub on Bank. Pours a clean golden colour with an orange hue. The head is small with no lacing. Grassy hop aromas with some spiciness, citrus and hints of grains. The mouthfeel is dry. Hoppy taste of grassy notes with very light coffee that is hard to catch. Lightly infused is right.
