Matured in Lowland Whisky Cask A rich, dark and intensely flavourful Imperial Stout, packed with burnt coffee and lemon scents, skillfully balanced by sweet sherry and raisin flavours derived from a short period in Lowland malt whisky casks. A smoky, slightly acrid mouthfeel, and a long burnt finish. The perfect drinking occasion is to share these complex craft brews with good friends. Size: 33cl Bottle Alc. Strength 8%

330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 8%. Black colour, low beige head. Moderate aroma of roast malts, smooth whisky, vanilla, mild coffee and chocolate. The roasty flavour is not too sweet, but has fairly distinct notes of smoke, whisky, vanilla, and coffee. Not bad at all, but my expectations were higher.
