An imperial sweet stout brewed with cherries and cacao nibs, which is then aged in bourbon barrels. This beer is brewed in collaboration with Mikkeller our generous friend from Copenhagen, Denmark. What you have here is a modest attempt to emulate the experience of biting into a chocolate-covered cherry candy. We hope you enjoy it but you never know what you’re gonna get.

You can tell that a lot of time and resources was put into this beer. Very complex, just a little too sweet for me...otherwise could be the perfect imperial stout. I didn't know the ABV% was this high when my neighbor who works at Total Wine & More shared this bottle with me. I was thinking 10-12% range....so got slightly more buzzed than I wanted. You can taste the cherries after a few sips, and the bourbon aging adds some extra sweetness. Black appearance with a brown-mahogany colored head. Amazing lacing too. I'd recommend sharing the 750ml with 3-4 heads though vs. 2, as it could get a little over the top after 6-8 ounces.
