Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
12oz bottle pours very dark with tan head that fades to a ring in about a minute. The aroma puts out sugary malts and honey sweetness rolling into increasingly roasty malts, spicy black licorice, spicy cedar and some malt sweetened citrus. Sort of like Either the beer enters smooth and near velvety but with a bit brighter notes. I get malt sweetened tangelo, orange juice and sugary grapefruit juice followed by lesser notes of dark roasted malts, some cedar spice, chocolate and then more citrus. Lingering citrus and a touch of roastiness head off into the after taste.

aroma falls just a hair short of it'c cousin Either, but the overall impact abd flavor are bettter. the cedar is not so strong in the finish, but evenly eveident throughout, and the complexity is the beers strongest point. licorice, honey, chocolate, roasted malt, hops, cigar...not as sweet as the other. VERY nice.

355 ml bottle, from Ølbutikken (or possibly Høkeren), Copenhagen. ABV is 11.2%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Compared to CC Either, the aroma is very moderate: Dusty notes up front, followed by notes of mild coffee, hints of dark chocolate and wood. Warming mouthfeel. In the flavour, wood is up front, followed by malts, molasses, chocolate and honey. Distinct resinous hops in the finish. Good stuff, but Either is a tad better.
