Moat Water is a stout brewed with lactose and Skatepart of Tampa’s own moat water, then aged with coffee, vanilla beans and Canadian maple wood veneers. As for the flavor... think All You Can Eat chocolate chip pancakes and bottomless coffee. It’s appearance is dark, just like your future if you dare to partake in the infamous Moat Race during Skatpark of Tampa’s legendary Tampa AM and Tampa PRO.

Big thanks to BMMillsy for sending this west in trade. Also thanks to dak for opening a bottle as well. This is yum. The 750mL pours an inky darkness sort of body supporting a mocha colored head of foam. The aroma is smooth rich dark roasted coffee goodness, a bit of earthiness, some sticky sweetness and something like chocolate too. The taste is smooth sweet smoother smoothness and perfection. I get rich oily dark roasted coffee notes, some thin sludgy melted chocolate, a touch of spicy wood and this is all covered in a thick layer of yum. Solid brew rich smooth mellow and bold. What a treat.

From KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Near black pour, a tad muddy, tight tan head, some lacing. Rich roasted malt aroma, accented with vanilla, some expresso, light woodsiness, earthy hops. Smooth mouthfeel, probably from the lactose. Rich flavors of vanilla dark roasted espresso, a hint of woodsiness, caramel, rich creamy dark roasted finish. Thank you Ratchet for bring this brew. Worthy.
