Big thanks to dak for sharing this, my 200th Cigar City brewed rating. It pours with an almost inky black body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet sherry, brown sugar coated ripe plum meat and then sweet cognac booze. The taste is rich and nectar sweet goodness. I get rich sweet plum reduction and cherry juice moving into molasses and brown sugar. For moments malt sweetened dark roasted malts show up just as smooth sweet cognac comes to the surface. With the esters and rich "sipper" like sweetness this almost seems like an English Style barleywine. Wow, yummy!

Split this bottle with a friend who brought directly from brewery. Limited edition. Aged on cognac barrels....giving super/almost too-sweet flavor. Heavy and little overwhelming on the feel. Inherited an extra bottle to age for a year or two, so we'll see how that comes out. Good sipping beer...just make sure you can split it multi-ways.
