Rated in June 2011. Firkin pour at CCB with totally opaque muddy brown body and mocha like head. The opacity begins to separate out within a few minutes leaving a darker less opaque 1/2 inch thick mesa of beer at the top of the glass. The aroma is a little chili pepper meat and some spicy hops and not much else. The taste is apricot to cherry like fruit esters, spicy hops, a bit of lemon like citrus hops, some roasted malts and then a nice level of chili pepper meat flavors and a mild amount of chili heat. This whole thing seems jumbled and disjointed. Maybe cask offering isn’t the right format for this. Some bottle time might help as it might meld together a bit.
