750mL bottle pours with a striking deep dark body that supports a chocolate dark brown head. The aroma offers up inviting dark roasted malts and dark chocolate leading to earthy date fruitiness, blueberry, malt balls and chocolate nuance sweet smooth rum. The taste is smooth and slick and velvety rich with dark chocolate, malt sweetened dark roasted malts and then even more chocolate leading to smooth rum, earthy dates, prunes and then even more chocolate goodness. This is smooth and rich and just yum as it slides into the chocolate nuanced smooth rum booziness into the finish. Wonderful sipper.

Pours a rich coffee sable with a thin tan head, but this may be an artifact of the tapping. Bold aroma has a strong overtone of molasses plus nutty, coffee and rum hints. Flavor is quite sweet, maybe too sweet, and has a firm alcohol bite. Texture is very viscous and fairly fizzy, leaving a finish of roast malt, rum and molasses. Kiss a bottle, a glass, a stein, whatever - and commune with a wicked dolphin!
