Good Chit Pilsner is made with Rogue Farm barley that we Floor-Malted in small batches. Floor Malting is an, old fashioned, 8 day process that includes steeping, germination, raking, roasting, bagging and hands on love 24 hours a day. “Chit” refers to the start of the rootlets that emerge from the embryo of the kernel once steeping is complete and germination begins.

a nice, semi-sweet, grassy pilsner. the only odd thing about the Rogue variations is that the body seems a little...idunno...thick? for the style. not bad, just not typical. pretty nice beer with a crisp finish. i don't buy too many $6 pilsners, though. A one timer.

Sampled on 3/9/2012, this German Pilsner pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is grainy, cereal fruity and sweet, with a touch of spiciness. A medium bodied German Pilsner. The malts are grainy, fruity and sweet. The hops are spicy and herbal. Decent carbonation. A decent pilsner, crisp and clean tasting with a touch of spiciness. It finishes a little sweet, and it gets a little sweeter as it warms. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with some residual sweetness.

It pours a hazy and slightly bubbly yellow-gold with a thick and foamy white head and some surrounding lacing. An aroma of straw malts, hops, lemon and citrus, grassiness, light bitterness, and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of fresh barley malts, hops, lemon and citrus, banana, vanilla, and spiciness. Excellent and very smooth..

A bright golden colored beer with a big foamy textured, white head that stays around for awhile. Settles eventually into a moderate sized ringlet. The profile is a dominance of hops, grassy and citric. Not overwhelming though. Nice crisp, refreshing drink.

On tap @ Bearden Beer Market: clear straw yellow pour with an ample white head and good lacing. Clean Noble-type hops aroma with sweet malts. Taste is very clean, grassy hops bitter, nice sweet light caramel malt sweetness. Really a good pilsner.

Pours a nice clear solar yellow with a fairly thick white head - doesn’t do much for me, but give it a break, it is a pils and I prefer dark beers. Malty, yeasty, sunny flavor has a subtle note of pear. Flavor is malty with a strong hoppy edge, a fair amount of bitterness, a metallic tang and a whisper of fruit. Texture is smooth, average-bodied and fairly fizzy. Pilsners aren’t my favorite, but this one is fine.
