Imperial milk stout offers intense aromas of roasted malt, coffee, mildly bitter chocolate and burnt caramel, while its' lactose brings just enough body to balance all the flavours. This dark brew is mean to be discovered slowly, lying on the couch with squares of dark chocolate or by its' clorious lonesome.

Pours a dark brown colour, almost black, with a beige head and some good lacing. Grainy aromas with roasted malts, notes of chocolate, coffee, molasses, grass and caramel. Because of the high alcohol content (being imperial) the milk part does not show anymore. Sweet taste with the roasted malts in the finish. Butterscotch hints and grain. I really hope they did not really discontinue the none-imperial version as that one was awesome.

The beer poured a solid black colour with a 1" creamy light brown head. The aroma was very weak and the dark chocolate shines through more than anything. The mouthful was full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was quite complex with notes of milk chocolate and vanilla combined with roasted malts and coffee. Very enjoyable. -

REally enjoyed this! Poured with really large tan cap that seemed to darken to as it dissipated. Good malt, some chocolate for sure, slight touch of nutty espresso. Dry and slightly biscuity, medium bodied, drop down real easy. Alcohol well masked. I can notice the lactose for sure, it comes across as a gentle texture that makes you salivate. Really enjoyed!

Bottle: Poured a deep black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with pretty good retention and lacing. Aroma of medium roasted malt with a nice touch of lactose. Taste of roasted chocolate malt is pretty dry with no noticeable hops. I’m not sure if my mouth was playing trick with me but I could really distinguish lactose in there. Interesting take on a style that I don’t have access to very often.
