The Wheat beer’s popularity grew from it’s early reputation as a tonic. Like other folklore, this belief may be based on sound foundation. Wheat based beers do have a higher content of vitamin B2 and a low-carbohydrate quality that appeals to the health conscious beer drinker. Our Charleston Wheat is an American version of the Belgian styled White Beers. The style is enhanced by the addition of coriander seed, Belgian Yeast, and special hops to produce a beer that is strikingly refreshing. Just like the original European Wheat beers, the natural wheat malt is uniquely complimented with a wedge of citrus. We suggest a small slice of orange to enhance Charleston Wheat’s natural fruity tang.
