Poured into a snifter. Dark brown/black pour with a foamy, 2 finger, dark tan head that settles to a thin covering on the top of the beer. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate and yeast with a hint of hops and vanilla. Roasted malt and chocolate leads the flavors with the Brett kicking midway adding a yeasty, drying effect to the beer. Taste ends a bit chalky and metallic. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for an imperial stout, but I can overlook it due to the uniqueness of this beer. A pleasant surprise. There are some similarities to Boulevard's Dark Truth Stout.
