A powerful and deep bodied pale amber ale with a fruit spectrum of aromas. This robust beer is brewed using a balance of flavour malts and Pacific and Alantic hops, the result is a massive beer with a perfect profile of bitterness, sweet vanilla maltiness and a blend of citrus passionfruit and mango on the finish. The beer is named after a powerful and warlike tribe of ancient Britain, occupying approximately the counties of Monmouthshire, Breconshire. The Silures made a fierce resistance to the Roman conquest about AD 48, and it remains unclear whether they were actually militarily defeated or simply agreed to come to terms with the Romans!

Pours an insanely huge foamy bubbly head and has a pale golden appearance. Some pretty excessive carbonation. Thick lacing. Aromas are very citrusy with strong piney notes as well as floral hops. Flavours are mainly citrus and floral hops with grassy and pine notes. Nice and smooth mouthfeel. Great retention. Some bitterness on the palate, nothing excessive. Has a good balance overall.

Pours a light golden colour with lots of transparent tiny particles floating around. The foamy white head becomes soapy and leaves thick lace after going down slowly. Hoppy nose with pine cones, oranges and fruity malts. A slight dryness in the finish, but overall refreshing. Not crazy hoppy, but definitely present. A mix of fruity-citrus malts (grapefruit notes) and mild pine hints. A nice brew between an American Pale Ale and an IPA.

The beer pours a translucent medium gold colour with a generous white rocky head which lingers. The aroma is citrus hops, grass, and light fruits. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter citrus (like the zest of a grapefruit), grass, and more light fruits. Refreshing and clean, but nothing outstanding enough to keep me coming back for more.
