The Black Rat is a juggernaut of a beer. This imperial, milk stout is big and full of flavor and may remind you of an Irish coffee with lots of cream and sugar.

Bottle from kinger. Near-black pour, tight tan head, nice lacing throughout. Rich roasted malts, chocolate, coffee in the nose and palate, rich and creamy, just a touch thin, still big flavor and aromas. Very nice way to end a late summer evening... Thanks Cory.

I think this is exactly what my mind conjures up when I hear "milk stout". Cola brown to black color, huge thick head, sweet and a touch pungent on the nose. Flavor is all whole milk, rich buttery-nutts (thats right, I said buttery-nutts), chocolate sweetness. The imperial body makes this a nice rich after dinner beer. Thanks Kinger, great pick.

An imperial milk stout to soothe the sweet tooth all the while satisfying the big malt jones. Black pour, huge billowing head and thick lacing. Velvety, sweet and soothing with a medium to heavy mouth feel. Upfront lactose and milk chocolate with a lush sweetness that delves into a mixture of dark fruits/berries, pastries, and coffee. Nice take on the imperial stout category using a fairly different approach.
