Poured and served without a head at Jack of the Woods in Asheville. Rightly or wrongly, I always compare beers in this style to the Berliner Weisse ordered for me by a German friend in Berlin in 1987. The first major difference is that this comes mixed, whereas the BW in Berlin was layered. So this one is a cloudy pinkish peach color. I couldn't detect any fruit in the aroma-- the strong herbal spice smell, like a Belgian dubbel, surprised me. The flavor was very tart of the bat, which I expected, but also bitter. Lemony like a Radler, but without the sweetness of the BW I'd had in Berlin. It stayed tart and herbal. The light and wet feel was refreshing. Personally, I'm not wild about it, but it was decent.
