Mt. Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi, was formerly called “Black Dome” because of its gray rock faces are always shrouded by deep, black clouds. Our tribute beer, Black Dome Stout, is a deep, dark, mystical mix of caramel, chocolate and roasted malt flavors that glide across the palate. It’s a pleasurable journey to our high-country’s dark side!

Taps opaque coffee sable with a fair tan head. Aroma delivers roast malt, quality coffee and chocolate notes. Flavor features what the aroma promises. Mouthfeel shows average body and fizz. Dome the black!
