A Dark hued version of the style utilizing the addition of amber candi sugar to "Imperialize" the situation. Although honoring our Brewmaster’s wife Barbara, it’s cleverly derived acronym was deemed unacceptably unacceptable.

On tap at Dexter's in Madison. Poured a red-tinged deep brown with a creamy tan head and light lace. Sweet roasted malt and dark fruit nose. Smooth, full sweet-edged palate. Full rich malty flavors, toasty-sweet with a light fruit-tanginess and a warm finish.

Only on tap..? I thought I saw this in bottles the other day. Maybe not.. Anyway, I had this big hearty beer on tap at the Malt House in Madison. Pours a dark dark brown colour with a fairly large tan head. Aroma is slightly raisiny, dates and fig on the nose. Subtle oak, caramel and toast on the palate. Taste is rather flavourful actually. Firm and astringent, but super smooth. Creamy with noticeable alcohol notes throughout. nice beer!
