For decades the Country Squire was a fine dining restaurant in Naramata. Following its fine example and carrying its name, Squire Scotch Ale is rich in both flavour and tradition. This variety of pale ale is defined by malt flavours that are strong and smoky with a touch of sweetness. The deep caramel colour and gentle hop profile round out this classic style ale.

Part of the 2012 LCBO Seasonal offerings. A clear rust coloured pour with a generous head. Definitely more of a Scottish Ale than a Scotch Ale. Malty aroma, some toffee and peat. Flavour is sweet malt, smoke, and caramel.

Bomber - decants an unfiltered light amber colored ale with a 2 finger cap. Aroma is malty, caramel a whiff of smoke and a wee bit of butterscotch (Diacetyl). Flavor is very malty, cara-malts prevalent, some smoke, long wet finish where a light Golding bite occurs. A serviceable scotch ale, malty, full bodied.

Bomber from the Blair-sector LCBO in Ottawa, ON. Written "Enjoy before: 010213". Pours a hazy deep amber colour with very intense tiny-bubble carbonation. This creates an off-white, creamy head that lasts forever and real thick lacing around the glass. Sweet and grainy cereal nose with hints of caramel, butterscotch and kind of peaty. Oily mouthfeel and medium-bodied. The taste is pretty smooth with the malt (caramel, grain), the sweetness (butterscotch, sugars), the fruitiness (apples, pears, raisins), the roastiness and a little smokiness in the finish with light hop. Goes down quite nicely for a scotch ale.

Part of the 2012 LCBO Fall Release. The beer pours a beautiful translucent scarlet red colour with a very thin tan head that lingers. The aroma is a little smoke, roasted malt, and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet malt, some roast, smoke, and a hint of molasses. Easy drinking and not too sweet.
