In the spirit of chocolatey experimentation, we aged our 2018 hsaWaknoW [Wonka Wash] Chocolate Ale in an oak barrel. The result gave us this sublime chocolatey nuanced, oak flavored brown ale! Malt and chocolate are woven into this deliciously woody beer. It pairs well with rich and savory foods like our bacon marmalade or the pimento cheese and kale dip. Every year we brew the hsaWaknoW to celebrate Willy Wonka’s, er, Gene Wilder’s birthday. Come back this June 12th, 2019 to taste the fresh, unoaked version of this scrumdiddlyumptious ale! Served in a snifter glass for $8. Sorry, we cannot fill growlers, pitchers, or towers of this one.
