Bottle courtesy of mgermani. Pours brown with a tan head, Smells peaty with some nice dark fruity hints. Tastes of spice, caramel, swet malt, some peppery touches with a splash of molasses on the finish.

An "okay" scottish ale, but not my favourite. Flavour was about right, no shortage of sweet here although the aroma was hard to find (probably just me!), and the mouthfeel was a little thin for my liking. Not the greatest review ever, but my notes are more than a little tattered for this one.

On a small pub crawl while onshore for a few hrs from my cruise ship, I hit up Swan’s. As a general statement for all of their beers that i tried, the good news is that they were served at the right temperature. The bad news is that none of them was too good, IMHO. SLightly sweet, but the body seemed a bit thin.
