"A malty sweet amber coloured beer with 5,4 % that is good for any fresh cuban winter nights. A little bit more hop would be great. Compareable with bavarian "Märzen". In all a better taste than the Cristall from the same brewery, "Cervezeria Bucanero, Holguin Cuba ;-)"

33cl bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The modest aroma is pretty sweet and emits malts, hay like notes and table sugar. The taste starts with sugar sweetness and is lightened up by carbonation that enhances a vague hop bitterness. It gets a little grainy here and there. Into the finish it actually has a bit of a hop bite that keeps the sweetness in check. Not something I would seek out or even try again but this seems to be drinkable.

355ml can in stocked bar fridge at our resort we stayed at in Cuba. Pours an average size foamy white head that dissipates pretty much immediately, has a pale golden yellowish appearance. No lacing whatsoever. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of grains, wheats, very light grassy and herbal notes. Flavours are mostly same as aromas, lots of grains and wheaty notes, a little bit of malts and grass. Dry mouthfeel. Definitely better than Cristal. But not by much.

Pale yellow with no foam to speak off. Light barley aroma, regular lager taste, Nothing more to say here. But it’s a Cuban beer, yes another country tick. (Paris 201411)

350 ml capped bottle, as Cubanero Fuerte. Poured in a stemmed glass a clear and golden-orange coloured P L with a one finger slightly beige foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is mild grainy and toasted malts, faint floral hops and an unpleasant skunky feeling. The flavour is mild caramel and toasted malts, fruity, resins and a spicy touch, pepper, chilly. The mouthfeel is round, sparkling, a bit sticky and sweety. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied P L has a long toasted finish. Here, in the Old Europe, I'm rating this Pale Lager as unsastisfactory. May be, I could have another rating, on place, in the .. Caribic !

Can, ABV 5.4%, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Pale golden colour, low head. Aroma of over-boiled vegetables and maize. Typical industrial pale lager flavour with a tolerable bitterness.

Well, the funniest thing is that I had this beer under the name of CuBanero in Canaries :). So they just changed two letters to go international... But the beer has nicely darker yellow color, foam is good and stable. Aroma is a little bit sourish, fruity and bready. Taste is a little bit waterish. Aftertaste is hoppy and refreshing.

Tried this in Cuba. Golden colour, pours with a small head. The nose is malty with a hint of sweetness. The taste is sweet with a long lasting aftertaste.

07.22.05 350ml bottle, that’s unusual. I guess I grabbed this bottle after the RBSG grand tasting, too. I didn’t even notice it was from Cuba until today. Dark straw pour, thin white head fades to ring, no lace. Aroma is corn, canned potatoes, water, grass mulch. Very bland with some more potato (?) and wet cereal. I might convince myself there’s some fresh grass in there, but it may be my imagination. One thing’s for sure, it’s not at all offensive and it seems to have held up quite well to almost two weeks of travel in the cooler. It’s got a bit of a slick mouthfeel that lingers, almost a waxy coating inside the mouth. Huh, well, that’s unattractive.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized head. Vegetably malty aroma, with weak malty hints. Vegetably malts and hops in flavour. Standard lager, but wellbalanced. Aftertaste is maltish and hoppy and lasts for quite a while.

clear golden colour with a little head; few herbal aroma in the nose, rather full-bodied and oily with a dry finish - a very average standard lager
