The beer is re- fermented in the bottle , which contributes to the full-bodied and round taste. That also means that the beer contains fresh and lively yeast , and has a taste evolution. The yeast also gives the beer its typically turbid character . Moreover, this brings the alcohol content back to the original 5% Alc Vol. The Vanneste family used raw unmalted wheat for its wheat beer . This gives the beer an extra fresh character, and also distinguishes it from the different and German style of white beers that are on the market. Finally, the beer is brewed again with 100% Belgian hops , originating from the Westhoek: Magnum hops. This is a hop that gives both a subtle bitterness and spiciness to the beer. This makes “Brugs Tarwebier” again one of the most authentic and family-brewed white beers on the market, reflecting on 5 generations of craftsmanship as brewers of the typical white beer within the Vanneste family .
