Combining Canadian and American malts with a large proportion of un-malted white winter wheat, Fiat Lux starts with a Belgian witbier inspiration. A blend of Pacific Northwest hops, a little lime peel and a dash of Indian coriander brings a bright blast of citrusy aromatic sunshine, while German Perle hops supply a nice big zap of refreshing bitterness.

On tap @ Suttree's High Gravity Tavern, with PfoxyJohn and FoamDome. Light hazy gold pour, tight short head, decent lacing. Crisp fruity aroma with a slight funk and yeasty presence, and some spice. Crisp flavor too, fruity, tart, light funk, yeasts, slight coriander. Straight up good its what it is. Winner.

Sampled on 10/12/2012 at GABF. This witbier pours a light gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, spicy, lime and sweet. A medium bodied Witbier. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some lime and coriander. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. An interesting mix and match of flavors. Sweet, yet tart, hoppy yet malty. Crisp and clean. Fairly smooth. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
