Black body, no head retention. Nose is clean- some toasted malt. Tastes...not very good. Burnt malt flavor, no roasted taste at all. No chocolate, no coffee. Kinda sour and astringent. Thin and watery. This was served way too cold too. Forget this one. The brewpub in Portland is beautiful, the food is great, but this brew stunk.
