    Pours a nice deep sable with a decent but not too persistent tan head. Aroma is strong, oily and smoky, with undertones of molasses and unsweetened chocolate. Flavor is like burnt unsweet chocolate with a hint of coffee and a trace of molasses, subtly sweet and fairly but not nastily bitter. Texture is smooth, not as thick or heavy as most stouts I have tried, and has a strong alcohol bite, perhaps from the whisky barrel in which it was aged.

    past the best by date, but you really couldn't tell. as with all of the paradox line, kinda thin and lighter in color than most impys. my favorite, ever so slightly over the Port Dundas, of the Paradox line-up. just a wee bit more peaty goodness, without going overboard like the smokehead. super smooth, flavorful. smells wonderful too.

    Bottled (Batch 10). Pitch black colour, with small beigeish brown head. Aroma is oak, some whisky, mild coffee and chocolate as well. Roasted malts and toffee is also there. Flavour is vanilla, oak, some roasted malts, mild sticky whiskyish alcohol like notes as well as some chocolate. Hides the alcohol quite nicely.

    best before: 01/10 .. . woah .. quite roasty and quite meaty .. nice touch of peaty smoke almost .. . very tasty stuff as are most of the brewdogs .. very scottish! ..

    Dark brown, almost black with small disappearing beige head. Aroma of nuts, dried fruit, tar, burnt malts, wood, vanilla and licorice. Flavour of licorice, nuts, tar, figs, prunes, salt, wood, pepper and alcohol. Warming aftertaste of pepper, black coffee, wood, vanilla, almonds and alcohol.

    Cask conditioned at Blackfriars, Glasgow, incorrectly(?) labeled as "Brewdog Paradox Glen Moray Edition #3". Weighs in at 10% ABV - not quite your average pint at the pub! Black colour, ruby in the highlights. Very nice vinous aroma with strong oaky notes. Very oaky flavour, roasty and relatively sweet. Salty finish.
