All canadian reviews? Strange? Some smoke, some really really dark sugary fruits, a touch of simple syrup, roasted barley, bitter chocolate, roasted barley, cold espresso, touch of burnt grain, somethine vaguely munich malt remiinescient. Just a touch of barrel aging that lends a malo like smoothness that is not oatish. Really yum.

Dark brown pretty much black body with a 1” thick crown floating on top, retention is very good. Smokey stout aroma with some sweetness and medical disinfectant but in a good way. Aroma is mildish but ok. Burnt tasting brew with whisky/oak flavours but not as noticeable as in the other Paradox’s. The stout flavours are very strong bordering on intense lots of ash and backers chocolate make up the flavor, no trace of any coffee. There is a sweet flavor in here but I can’t pick it out. Good brew probably my favorite so far from the Paradox series.

Poured out a thick looking black brew with a small dark brown cap, just a bit of spotty lacing. Beer cover stays as a skim all the way through to the bottom of the glass. Nice aroma! Chocolate, lots of chocolate, butterscotch, green apples, cooked carrots, toasted malts, grain, dusty hay. Overall the mix of chocolate and scotch is very good. Lots of chestnuts throughout. The taste is very nice. Chocolate... bitter bitter chocolate with excellent roasty bitterness, dark fruits, alcoholic anesthetic, light coffee is found at the finish with grain, dust and earth. Smooth with endless bitterness and chocolate and now weak coffee with a touch of alcohol burn blended in well. I love this type of beer.
