Enjoyed at the pub, pouring a brown colour with a little bubbly ring, light film left on the glass. Smells like brownies and most socks. Sounds bad, but it is not. Just interesting, different. Roasted, chocolate malts, spicy, not as sweet as expected as maple is hidden, and mild vanilla. Silky mouthfeel, oily with a building dryness in the finish. Roasted barley base taste with nicely blended spices, mild maple and vanilla. Some grains giving the toast touch. A nice French toast, Imperial breakfast Stout.
