375ml bottle that pours a blackish colour with no highlights that I can see. Dark, mocha-coloured, tiny bubbled head that stays a bit and leaves a mild ring around the top of the brew. Rye-alcoholic nose over roasted barley, some chocolate malts, molasses, coffee, and liquorice. The liquorice really takes over in the flavours with quite a building bitterness in the end, and a touch of alcohol warming. Roasted malt base, a tad cacao and the spicy rye lingering. Nice to have one of their barrel Imperial Stout, not in Bourbon but Rye this time. Less sweet, more boozy and bitter.
