Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Reviewed on tap May 22, 2022, when most around the region had lost power after a freak storm. Dark brown colour with a tiny head, a few bubbles and minimal lacing. Very alcoholic nose with the rich rum and bourbon notes. Molasses and bitters do come out. The taste is better balancing with the two alcohols, bitterness, roasted malts, molasses and hints of maple. The mouthfeel has a nice building dryness. What I thought would be way too rich, came out much nicer blended. Lots going on here - well done!
