Enjoyed at the Hull brewpub, pouring a dark brown, kind of black colour without any highlights. Cannot get much head with the swirling, nor lacing. Roasted malt base with nuttiness, chocolate and a touch of Bourbon with raisin notes. Good coconut flavours over the rest of the nose just mentioned. Some molasses, licorice do blend well on top of this. A slick, oily mouthfeel with decent dryness and a little tart left on the tongue. Overall, a nice Imperial Sweet Stout with lots going on, and all nicely balanced.
