Bottle that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any highlights. The warm mocha-coloured head is fizzy, lasting just a while and only leaving a little film on the glass. The peanuts are present in the nose at first, but the Bourbon alcohol shows up to take over, with the chocolate notes and roasted barley base. The mouthfeel is silky, smooth, not too heavy with not their usual dryness in the end. Yet, not too syrupy - just quite nice. A nice warming touch with mild bitterness lingers. The flavours are well-blended with nothing sticking out too much. Cacao, mild nuttiness, soft coconut-vanilla hints and a touch of Bourbon. Quite a pleasant, smooth dessert Imperial Stout that is not overly sweet, nor too rich. Goes down very well on the wintery night.
